Winemaking
This wine is made entirely from Chardonnay grapes grown on limestone- and marl-rich soils at around 300?m above sea level, on a plot situated at the border between the Côte de Nuits and the Côte de Beaune. The vineyard is sustainably managed, with mechanical soil cultivation and ploughing; the grapes are hand-picked and carefully sorted. After temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine is aged for 18 months in oak barrels, 20% of which are new. Malolactic fermentation adds further complexity and structure. Before bottling, the wine is lightly filtered to ensure quality and aging potential.
Our tasting note
Brilliant golden hue in the glass. The nose reveals ripe pineapple and delicate floral nuances of linden blossom. A hint of flint underscores its mineral depth and lends a vibrant freshness. On the palate, a well-balanced interplay of fruit, minerality, and oak. Long, elegant finish.
Bruno Colin
Bruno Colin is a passionate winemaker with a solid technical and commercial education from the prestigious wine school of Beaune. In 1993, he joined the family estate Michel Colin-Deleger, where he worked alongside his parents and his brother. In 2003, the family decided to divide the estate into three independent domaines: Domaine Michel Colin-Deleger, Domaine Philippe Colin, and Domaine Bruno Colin. The following year, Bruno vinified his first vintage under his own name – the beginning of an independent success story. Today, Bruno Colin cultivates around 8.55 hectares of vineyards in some of the most prestigious terroirs of the Côte de Beaune – including the communes of Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, Santenay, and Dezize-les-Maranges. With a total of 20 appellations – among them eight Premiers Crus in Chassagne-Montrachet – Bruno places the utmost importance on expressing the unique character of each plot. With a fine sense of balance and elegance, he captures the individuality of each parcel in his wines – precise, nuanced, and full of personality.
