Marie-Rose Boulhat, Sales Representative at Weibel Weine, recently visited the Restaurant Ochsen in Münsingen. While enjoying their signature cold, thinly sliced roast beef served medium-rare, accompanied by a glass of Dolcetto d'Alba DOC from Figli Luigi Oddero, she had the opportunity to speak with host Monika Linder-Löffel about her passion for hospitality, gastronomy, and the values that have made Ochsen a cherished destination for many years:

What do your guests particularly appreciate about the restaurant?

For generations, Ochsen Münsingen has stood for warm hospitality, personal connections, and outstanding culinary quality. These values are exactly what bring our guests back time and time again.

Our attentive and family-oriented approach is particularly appreciated. As a traditional family-run business, we place great importance on personal relationships with our guests and create an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome and at home. Many of our regular guests have been visiting us for years and enjoy seeing familiar faces every time they return.

Another key factor in our success is our unwavering commitment to quality. Whether it is a Friday evening or a Sunday afternoon, our guests can always rely on the same high standards in both the kitchen and service. This consistency is a matter of course for us and forms the foundation of the trust our guests place in us.

Our continuous kitchen service is also highly valued. From 11:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., we serve hot meals without interruption. This offers our guests maximum flexibility, whether for a spontaneous lunch, an afternoon snack, or a relaxed dinner.

Many guests also appreciate the wide range of possibilities for private and business events. Thanks to our various function rooms, we can accommodate everything from intimate celebrations to elegant banquets for up to 100 guests. For special occasions, even larger events can be arranged.

One of our most popular specialities is our thinly sliced, pink-roasted roast beef. Especially during the summer season, it is one of the highlights of our menu. Prepared according to a recipe that has been passed down through generations, it has become a true Ochsen classic over the years.

Other long-standing favourites include our traditional calf’s liver and the classic Bernese Platter, both of which are available throughout the year.
