Winemaking
This wine comes from a 0.38-hectare parcel located below the «La Comme» and «Beauregard» sites. The Pinot Noir vines, planted in 1988, thrive on clay-limestone soils that are farmed organically. The soil is worked mechanically and ploughed. Grapes are harvested by hand, then carefully sorted and destemmed on a vibrating table. Maceration lasts 15 days with minimal intervention. The wine matures for 12 months in 350-liter barrels, 15 to 20% of which are new, followed by another 4 to 6 months in tanks before bottling.
Our tasting note
Ruby red in color. The nose reveals an elegant and complex bouquet with aromas of ripe red fruits such as cherry and raspberry, complemented by delicate spice notes and subtle earthy undertones. On the palate, it is full-bodied and silky, with a harmonious balance of fresh fruit and velvety tannins. Its fine structure and lively acidity lend it remarkable length and depth.
Bruno Colin
Bruno Colin is a passionate winemaker with a solid technical and commercial education from the prestigious wine school of Beaune. In 1993, he joined the family estate Michel Colin-Deleger, where he worked alongside his parents and his brother. In 2003, the family decided to divide the estate into three independent domaines: Domaine Michel Colin-Deleger, Domaine Philippe Colin, and Domaine Bruno Colin. The following year, Bruno vinified his first vintage under his own name – the beginning of an independent success story. Today, Bruno Colin cultivates around 8.55 hectares of vineyards in some of the most prestigious terroirs of the Côte de Beaune – including the communes of Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, Santenay, and Dezize-les-Maranges. With a total of 20 appellations – among them eight Premiers Crus in Chassagne-Montrachet – Bruno places the utmost importance on expressing the unique character of each plot. With a fine sense of balance and elegance, he captures the individuality of each parcel in his wines – precise, nuanced, and full of personality.
