Winemaking
The vineyard covers 0.83 hectares and is spread across four renowned sites: Bataudes, En l'Ormeau, Bouchon de Corvée, and Les Houillères. The vines, planted in 1972 and 1979, thrive in clay and limestone soils. Organic cultivation is carried out through mechanical soil management and gentle ploughing-measures that preserve the balance of the terroir. The grapes are harvested by hand, carefully sorted in the vineyard and again on a vibrating table. Fermentation on the skins lasts 15 days with minimal intervention to maintain the grapes' natural expression. The wine is aged for 12 months in 350-liter oak barrels, 15 to 20% of which are new, followed by an additional 4 to 6 months of maturation in tanks before bottling.
Our tasting note
Brilliant ruby red in the glass. The nose reveals a refined, spicy bouquet – typical of Pinot Noir – with notes of red cherries and a lovely freshness. On the palate, it impresses with supple tannins, elegant minerality, and juicy fruit, complemented by a dark, subtle spiciness. This Burgundy stands out for its finesse and elegance, delivering an exceptional tasting experience.
Bruno Colin
Bruno Colin is a passionate winemaker with a solid technical and commercial education from the prestigious wine school of Beaune. In 1993, he joined the family estate Michel Colin-Deleger, where he worked alongside his parents and his brother. In 2003, the family decided to divide the estate into three independent domaines: Domaine Michel Colin-Deleger, Domaine Philippe Colin, and Domaine Bruno Colin. The following year, Bruno vinified his first vintage under his own name – the beginning of an independent success story. Today, Bruno Colin cultivates around 8.55 hectares of vineyards in some of the most prestigious terroirs of the Côte de Beaune – including the communes of Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, Santenay, and Dezize-les-Maranges. With a total of 20 appellations – among them eight Premiers Crus in Chassagne-Montrachet – Bruno places the utmost importance on expressing the unique character of each plot. With a fine sense of balance and elegance, he captures the individuality of each parcel in his wines – precise, nuanced, and full of personality.
