Winemaking

The «Ez Crets» vineyard covers 0.55 hectares and is planted with Chardonnay vines dating from 1952, 1960, 1989, and 2023. The soil is composed of clay-limestone and is cultivated according to organic principles, using both mechanical work and ploughing. The grapes are harvested by hand with meticulous selection in the vineyard. The wine is aged for 12 months in 350-liter barrels, of which 15 to 20% are new. It then undergoes a further 4 to 6 months of aging in tanks before bottling.

Our tasting note

Intense straw yellow in the glass. On the nose, it reveals a powerful and opulent bouquet. It impresses with exceptional richness and concentration. Aromas of spices, candied citrus fruits, and ripe stone fruit are harmoniously complemented by subtle notes of toasted almonds and a hint of floral elegance. Its precise structure and deep flavor development lend this wine remarkable finesse, delighting the palate and leaving a lasting impression.

Bruno Colin

Bruno Colin is a passionate winemaker with a solid technical and commercial education from the prestigious wine school of Beaune. In 1993, he joined the family estate Michel Colin-Deleger, where he worked alongside his parents and his brother. In 2003, the family decided to divide the estate into three independent domaines: Domaine Michel Colin-Deleger, Domaine Philippe Colin, and Domaine Bruno Colin. The following year, Bruno vinified his first vintage under his own name – the beginning of an independent success story. Today, Bruno Colin cultivates around 8.55 hectares of vineyards in some of the most prestigious terroirs of the Côte de Beaune – including the communes of Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, Santenay, and Dezize-les-Maranges. With a total of 20 appellations – among them eight Premiers Crus in Chassagne-Montrachet – Bruno places the utmost importance on expressing the unique character of each plot. With a fine sense of balance and elegance, he captures the individuality of each parcel in his wines – precise, nuanced, and full of personality.
