This tasting box contains the following wines: 2x Vistamare Toscana IGP 2024, 2x Promis Toscana IGP 2023, 1x Magari Bolgheri DOP 2022 and 1x Camarcanda Bolgheri DOP 2021.
Ca'Marcanda
The Ca'Marcanda winery is exclusively owned by the Gaja family. It is located near Bolgheri and stands out for its magnificent architecture, which blends seamlessly with the Tuscan landscape. The area has an excellent climate for growing international grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Syrah. Angelo Gaja has been planting roughly 120 hectares of vineyard since 1996. Despite that fact that he grows international grape varieties, Gaja certainly does not produce wines for international pallets, but far more wines that reflect the local terroir with its elegance, freshness and drinking pleasure.

Winemaking
The three types of grapes are fermented separate from each other. Following the fermentation, the assembly begins in spring. The Magari then matures for 12 months in new and slightly used barriques, followed by 6 months of maturing in bottles.
Our tasting note
A fantastic Super Tuscan. Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and a little Petit Verdot combine to create a fruity and spicy firework, combined with elegance and sensuality. Pure and intense aromas of ripe blackberries, dark cherries, blackcurrants and eucalyptus. On the palate it has perfectly integrated wood with a smooth and fine texture.

Our tasting note
This wonderful Bordeaux cuvée made from 80% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Cabernet Franc gleams in an intensive ruby red with a violet shimmer. Delicate aromas of cassis, dark forest berries, tobacco and black chocolate on the nose. On the palate it is powerful, with much fruit, an invigorating acidity and finely woven tannins. Long, concentrated after-taste. It's a masterpiece.

Our tasting note
The Promis combines the elegance and smoothness of Merlot and Syrah with the noble stringency of Sangiovese. It has a strong crimson colour. Its nose is dominated by an intensive bouquet of berries and black cherries. It has an elegant structure with power and intensity on the pallet with smooth tannins. Already very juicy and accessible even when young.

Our tasting note
The fine cuvées from Vermentino, Viognier and Fiano invoke thoughts of the rich aromas of Bolgheri. Attractive aromatic nose of ripe fruits, blossoms and a hint of sweet honey. Full-bodied and expressive on the pallet, the wine combines floral and fruity taste nuances with the complexity and minerality of the barrique ageing.
