Winemaking

This exceptional Grand Cru is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes grown on the clay and limestone soils of the prestigious Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet vineyards. Organic cultivation is practiced through mechanical soil tillage and gentle ploughing-methods that support the long-term vitality of the terroir. The grapes are carefully hand-harvested and selected directly in the vineyard. The wine is then aged for 12 months in 350-liter oak barrels, 15 to 20% of which are new. A further maturation period of 4 to 6 months in stainless steel tanks adds harmony before bottling.

Our tasting note

Bright golden yellow in the glass. The nose reveals delicate notes of hazelnuts and butter. On the palate, it impresses with aromas of ripe peach and melted butter, accompanied by hints of pear and melon. An elegant minerality runs through the tasting experience, complemented by touches of nuts and green apple. The finish is long, layered, and mouth-filling, with remarkable density and complexity.

Bruno Colin

Bruno Colin is a passionate winemaker with a solid technical and commercial education from the prestigious wine school of Beaune. In 1993, he joined the family estate Michel Colin-Deleger, where he worked alongside his parents and his brother. In 2003, the family decided to divide the estate into three independent domaines: Domaine Michel Colin-Deleger, Domaine Philippe Colin, and Domaine Bruno Colin. The following year, Bruno vinified his first vintage under his own name – the beginning of an independent success story. Today, Bruno Colin cultivates around 8.55 hectares of vineyards in some of the most prestigious terroirs of the Côte de Beaune – including the communes of Chassagne-Montrachet, Puligny-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, Santenay, and Dezize-les-Maranges. With a total of 20 appellations – among them eight Premiers Crus in Chassagne-Montrachet – Bruno places the utmost importance on expressing the unique character of each plot. With a fine sense of balance and elegance, he captures the individuality of each parcel in his wines – precise, nuanced, and full of personality.
