Nero Ibleo (Nero d'Avola) IGT, 2006 - Red wine

Azienda Agricola Gulfi, Chiaramonte Gulfi

100% Nero d’Avola is used for the Nero Ibleo which has a stunning expression. The nose projects a dense aroma, consisting of cherries and black fruits. An authentic and elegant Nero d’Avola of the Sicilian terroir.

The winery Azienda Agricola Gulfi is situated in the mountains of Iblei in the south-eastern part of Sicily, near Ragusa. Gulfi, with his owner Vito Catania, officially started bottling Nero d’Avola made from estate-grown grapes in 1996, according to the family tradition. This winery produces one of the best Nero d’Avola which can be found in Sicily. Today Gulfi estate vineyards amount to roughly 70 Ha., which includes over 50 years old vines. A very typical and traditional winery.
